Itse pidämme tärkeänä olla perheyrittäjinä ja siksi meitä hurmasi Lucas Maassen & Sons. Lucas Maassen on palkannut kaikki kolme poikaansa, Thijme (9), Julian (7) ja Maris (7). Pojat vastaavat tehtaan tuottamien huonekalujen maalaamisesta. Jokaisesta huonekalusta maksetaan heille yksi euro, allekirjoittamansa sopimuksen mukaisesti. Hollannin lastentyölain mukaisesti on pojille mahdollista työskennellä vain 3 tuntia viikottain. Aikarajoitteet vaikuttavat tuotannon estetiikkaan. Kaikki huonekalut rakennetaan ja maalataan käsin.
We were charmed by the familycompany Lucas Maassen & Sons. Maassen has hired all his three sons, Thijme (9), Julian (7) and Maris (7). They are responsible of the painting of the furniture made in the factory. 1 euro is paid for each of the items painted, as agreed by the contract they signed. They work 3 hours each week according to the Dutch child labor law. Due to this time constraint, it has a significant influence to the aesthetics of the production. Each item is hand build and painted.
