Poimimme muutamia Milanon designviikkojen mielenkiintoisimpia näyttelyitä. Yksi niistä on The Front Room: Geometry & Colour, joka on kuratoitu monien lempisuunnittelijoidemme töistä. Mukana ovat muun muassa Design Academy Eindhovenin kasvatit Lex Pott, David Derksen, Mieke Meijer ja Daphna Laurens. Heitä kaikkia yhdistää tietty herkkyys materiaaleja ja värejä kohtaan. Näyttelyn esineitä puolestaan yhdistää niiden käyttöyhteys mutta myös puhdas geometrinen muoto ja väripaletti. Geometristen muotojen ja värien suhteessa on jotain taianomaista.
We’re picking some of the highlights from Milan Design Week. One of them is The Front Room: Geometry & Colour. The exhibition is bringing some of our favorite designers under the same roof such as Lex Pott, David Derksen, Mieke Meijer and Daphna Laurens. All of them take material and color to heart in their design process. The exhibition is a presentation of new objects for the front room but it’s also united by a sense of purity through the pure geometric shapes and color palette. There’s something magical when color and geometry are brought together.
